Make sure you put the powertube internals correctly and that both o-rings are in good shape and oiled.

I had nothing but issues with the red hot tube myself.. The one I got was faulty.. Had a leak inside was letting air through the barrel etc.. So I ended up putting the stock power tube back in.

Mine has been awesome since day one. As for what is wrong with yours I have no idea, maybe it is a defective one.

call tippmann. Tell em your stock powertube broke. They'll send you a replacement.
While your waiting for that you can keep troubleshooting. Make sure the FVA is in and flush with the inside of the powertube. Air up the marker and listen very closely for any air leaks (make sure the marker is cocked). If you can hear air leaking then you likely have a crack or bad seal in the new powertube and need a replacement for that one too. Since the powertube isn't exposed you can't really do the bubble test. You could try submerging your entire gun if you wanted... Just be sure to dry it off when your done. There is another way to check for leaks though. Air up you gun and make a note of the pressure left in your tank. If your using CO2 use a scale to get the weight of the tank. Now leave the gun in a safe place for several hours (overnight if you want). Check the pressure/weight again. It should have stayed constant. If it didn't you have a leak.

Well, calling tippmann, it's not very good idea since I'm french...I can write not too much badly, but speaking is an other thing I'll go to my proshop if I don't find the problem myself...but I think they are not specialized with tippmann guns...speedballer proshop!

Just go to the Tippmann site and see if you can e-mail them they should be able to help you. I know it might be a pain this way but it's worth a shot... ...PG

You know I readin the spec ops mag. that the red tube was made to run best with CO2 not HPA..I dont know how true this is but just a thought...maybe you should try the gold tube

Hm.. It sounds like you either have a bad seal or not enough flow somewhere. Are you able to exchange the powertube for a new one? Seeing as everything was working before that it's the most likely culprit. If not you may want to consider a madman spring kit to help boost your velocity.

What's the rest of your setup? In any case, a Maddman spring kit will most likely help you.
Have you tried it with a few different paint/barrel combos? Often paint that is too small for the barrel is the culprit of low velocity problems. The paint should be snug in the barrel, but easy to blow through. Using a flatline will also lower your velocity, as the flatline has a massive bore and requires a loose paint-to-barrel match to work correctly.

About sending parts to eroupe from tippmann, that can be a pain. I had to have a lpk hose kit sent to my house than forwarded to a fried in germany beacuse tippmann for some reson will not ship outside of the US.
