a5 with e-grip, i use co2, i've just put anew reg. on. my question is how low can i turn the air pressure down without a low pressure kit and would putting a stiffer or weaker rear bolt spring help? if so which one? any help would greatly be appreciated. if it matters i use a flatline with a boomstick backup. thanks again

I think with a stiffer spring you should be able to get it down to 600-675 psi. With a RVA & flush FVA, polished internals, and stiffer spring you can get it down to around 550-600. I haven't had a chance to chrono my setup, so I can't tell you exactly how much more psi the flatline takes compared to a regular barrel. Most people recommend the Madman Spring kit, www.paintballgi.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=611 , just be sure to cock the gun when installing a new spring to avoid bending it.

i don't have a rva on my stock would a spring kit still help? internals are polished. i thouhgt about getting some small washers and putting behind the stock spring to make it alittle stiffer before i ordered a spring kit to see how big a differance it would make???

Yeah it would still help, but I can't say how much exactly since your setup is different than mine. If you don't have a RVA, the spring kit is still a good idea because it will let you chrono over a wider range of velocities by adjusting your regulators pressure up & down, instead of using the FVA (leaving the FVA flush).
The old forum used to have a estimate of +/- velocity for each spring in the kit, I think it was around +15 fps for the blue spring and +90 fps (not sure exactly) for the red spring. What that velocity equals in terms of pressure, i don't know.
Also with the madman spring kit, you can replace your trigger spring for a lighter trigger pull which might be good when in semi.

thanks pk i guess i'll go ahead and order one. one thing is for sure it can't hurt . when i get mine in i'll let you know what the fps is at a few of the psi settings {i have my own chrono}thanks again
