I just bought one of these to play with this winter, and was wondering if anyone here has tried one. It's made by Predator Games, and I plan on using this practicing target shooting and snap shooting. Torch

Gen - its a barrel that instead of shooting paintballs out of it, everytime you fire youre marker (with c02 or hpa) a light will flash inside the barrel. then the light will be projected to what ever you were aming at...its for practice like Torch said.

So what is it? A 1" barrel tip basically? Sorry I didn't explain it better. Here's Link to the site too. www.predatorgames.com/index.aspIt is a standard size barrel that shoots an infrared beam out to a reflect target. The target comes with the barrel, and it will signal with a flashing light and tone when it has been hit. The target can be worn on a person, so you can use this device sort of as a laser tag set up if you wish. Anyway, I'll do a review of it later when I get it and test it out. Torch

If it works well...that may be cool.
Probably just wastes a lot of gas though, or is really loud, but the idea is pretty good. Won't account for dropping...
Also dry firing will make less recoil than actually shooting.

So just like laser tag?
EDIT = Nevermind. I just read the description on the website:
Definitely Not Laser Tag
The Predator is definitely not a standard laser tag system. The Predator requires the use of an actual paintball marker using compressed air or nitrogen. Our system simulates game play as accurately as possible by using the sound from your current marker firing air to trigger the infrared beam at either a stationary target or opposing player. The Predator system also eliminates the pain and mess usually associated with paintball. For less than the price of a couple cases of premium paint you can purchase a Predator barrel system. Practice as much as you like without any additional cost other than air. Most laser tag systems use cheap plastics and a simple lens system that results in limited range and poor accuracy. The Predator uses advanced optics encased in high grade aluminum to maximize range and accuracy which has resulted in a system that is both playable and challenging.

Several cases of premium paint?!?!?!
Even 2 cases of good paint at $60=too much.
