how long will paintballs last. if stored in a closet at room temp? i had some that got rotten, but it was a open bag that i used at a game over the summer. they sat for about 3 weeks. apparently they stunk like crazy when i opened them and noticed that they were rotten. but i didnt notice due to the fact that i barely have a sense of smell but my mom was pissed

rotten?!?! lol...i never heard of paintballs going rotten like smelly rotten...i know that wal-mart paint just always stinks.
usually when paintballs go bad that means that there are dimples in them or they swell up. If you have them sealed so no moisture can get in them, and every few days you turn the paintballs over or around so there not sitting on the same side everyday, they should be ok for a few months.

Believe it or not, it can go bad. I had a box of Evils that stunk to holy hell. I wanted to puke when ever I opened the bags.
Anyway, YES the best thing to do is to rotate the box or bags every couple of days to keep the paint from settleing and it'll last a lot longer.

yeah they were rotten. like mold growing off them rotten ... they only sat for like 3 weeks in my room. i guess the reason they rotted was b/c they sat in my truck for 4-5 hours in the heat. i had the window cracked but i guess it wasnt enough. im assuming that they sweated and the moisture got to them
