I don't like the idea of spending that much on a pistol, but that thing sure is impressive. So basically you can fire each magazine three times before you have to replace the co2. I like that; it eliminates having to swap co2 mid-game unless you completely run out of magazines.

YAY, that thing looks so good....but jm is right it is far to much for a pistol...you could get a stock a5 for the proce of the pistol and one clip, still...i want it lol

Something to keep in mind on the Tac-8...
It's a blow forward (as in similar to the Automag) and the Mags are actually PART OF A REGULATED VALVE SYSTEM. The system is pretty ingenious from what I understand... I mean the thing works effectively down to 325psi or so... When is the last time you ever fired off 24 shots from a semi-automatic marker running off a 12 gram?
Is it a bit expencive? Sure, but you're getting a HELL of a piece of equipment. I'm sure that the prices will come down within the next six months or so, but this thing has been in the works for how many years now? They have to recoup some of that R&D money.
I'll be getting one of these after the first of the year... If for nothing else than for plinking around the yard and for rec games...

Depending on how well this thing operates, and how impressed I am by it, I can see this making me sell my A5 to help pay for one. Considering I walk around scenarios with an RPG as my primary- having a small, light, one handed pistol sounds appealing.
As far as how much more expensive this is over the current blowback pistols out there (zeus, PT, core, etc...) they're outclassed by this thing. Its like comparing a BE Samurai with the A5, and I don;t mean looks alone.

When is the last time you ever fired off 24 shots from a semi-automatic marker running off a 12 gram? Just to throw a wrench out there... my Blazer. Last time I was out, I got about 30-35 shots off a twelve gram over a chrono and the first 5-6 were over 300 fps. So coming down on the velocity I could get a few more. But a Blazer is much more than the price of the Tac 8, not magazine fed, and bigger. This looks really really cool. It's hard to tell the exact size from the picture so I'd like to see some comparisons to, say, the A-5 or another paintball pistol. I'm not going to get one though. I really just don't see the need with my load out for a pistol. I made the mistake of wasting money on a PT Xtreme which I ended up selling for half the price of a new one even though I never drew it or even felt the need to draw it. However, if I did play more scenerios and had a situation like Blindspot, this would be a life saver. I think this pistol has a very specific niche in the market that has been wide open for far too long and I believe and hope it sells.

Personally I love this thing. Had I just not bought two cockers, one being an E1, I would have bought one. New technology is always a little expensive when it first comes out. I truly hope this marker leads to a clip fed rifle type marker that holds 20 or so rounds per mag.

That thing is pretty big. Handle has to be big enough for the magizine (double stack /12gram-and balls) to fit in the handle.
Anyway, I will have at least one. I play pistol only half the time.

Well, I just put my order through for one Tac 8 Pistol with 3 Magazines. Kinda sad to spend that much money on a pistol, but it should be worth it. I'll be sure to post up a full review when I get it. Anyone know the release date?

Hmm thinking back maye some extended clips would be cool. Like a 20 round high cap mag and a lil full auto would be cool. Like a SMG.
