After 3 years of A-5 ownership I finally gave in a bought my first electro. I bouth an Angel A4 fly. Most of my scenario team shoots high end guns, most of them are ex CFOA players. I was wondering if any angel owners on here had any words of wisdom for a new angel owner (like taking out the back spring before taking out the tombstone on the A-5).

First off, welcome to the dark side! I'm a fellow Fly owner too, just have the newer version. What I will tell you is that when I asked a WDP MT which gun he liked best, he said he still has a sweet spot for the A4 Flys and the Angel Force version of the A4 Fly. That should tell you something. A4 Flys are simply awesome. Hmmmm...what would I tell a new A4 Fly owner? Probably make sure your ram (ram stroke) is properly adjusted. Other than that, enjoy that bad boy before and if you even decide to upgrade anything. If you need any help at all, just give me a shout and I'll do my best to hook you up. So how does it shoot? Was it what you expected? What is the rest of your set-up (software version, tank, loader, etc..)? Almost forgot, we all want to see a pic of that Fly too!

Yeah don't worry the A-5 is the only marker that I will never get rid of. It has been my faithful paintball companion for over 3 years. Taken all the abuse I could dish out and come back for more.
I don't actually have the fly in my possession yet, Paypal'd the money to the guy yesterday and am waiting for him to ship. When I get it in I will post up pictures and my opinion, but I am feeling like a kid before Christmas. The fly cann't get here soon enough.

Well the Angel should be shipped today from alabama to me in South Carolina so should have it by the end of the week. One thing I am trying to decide is what type of HPA tank to buy. The guys on my team that shoot higher end guns tell me that there is no reason to buy a LP tank for the angel. The main reason for this is that I would have to have two different tanks, one HP tank for the A-5 and one for the Angel. But I keep reading that LP tanks are the way to go on the LP Angels. I already have a 68/3000 tank for the A-5, but I was wondering what your experience was with running LP Angels on HP tanks?

The reason people say to run lp tanks is because the minireg can't get the angel shooting under 300fps with a hp preset. Look around the angel forums and they will show you how to mod your minireg so everything will be hunky dory.

It is waiting on me when I get home , now all I have to do is figure out how to leave work early Now this is getting serious. It is time to fake a serious illness and run home to check that baby out! . Just curious, but do you know who Ken Crane is? (Inside joke pretaining to Vash, hehehehe)

Well I got it, the battery is nor charged and the guy did not have a charger to send. So I am borrowing a friends charger today and hopefully everything works right.
He obviously had never cleaned the gun, so I spent the first hour and a half clean gunk out of every nook and cranny that I could find.
Thankfully the electronics in the grip fram look nice and clean.
Have already ordered and new bolt and battery charger this morning. But as long as the battery charges up and all the electronics are working I will be happy. (pics later this weekend)

Question: Recieved the Angel and everything works but for some reason the previous owner had a stock ICD reg on it instead of the stock Angel reg. So I am looking at replacing the reg pretty much because everyone who sees it starts laughing at the fact that I have an ICD reg on an Angel, my question is what experience have you all had with the CP reg and will it work well on my fly?

CP reg will work perfectly on a Fly. The CP regs are real popular right now. I haven't heard many complaints about them.
