I want an autococker. Why, I donno, I just really want one. I have enough markers. 4 of them are great. I have 3 others besides... But I will have to get rid of those. But there are options. I'm in no rush, since I don't have money, but hey, it's bugging me. *new: An Orange Prostock, $385. I'd get a Lapco feedneck and Acccushot kit, for sure, are other upgrades needed at this point, it seems to be really well set up out of the box. I love the color...some one said they had some issues out of the box. linkage*used: Up'ed 'cockers start at like $125, but I usually don't like the upgrades or they have issues I'm not sure I can fix, but the price is very good. *Blazer: $670 for the Blazer set up I like, black, .45 frame with blade trigger, male stabilizer, 12" barrel, quick disconnect, etc. palmer-pursuit.com/images/blazer/blazer-cf-blade-malekit-pc-brass.JPG*PPS'd cocker: $650, I'd still probably want a Lapco feedneck and barrels (I'm kinda anal about barrels...which is why I like this over the Blazer. I also like the looks better and clamping feed option, but most people say the Blazer is better? palmer-pursuit.com/images/cockers/pps-cocker-basic-theworks.jpg

That would be fun, but then I'd have to assemble and time it and I'm not sure how long it will take me to do that. I'm looking forwards to that stuff, though

Ok, I just looked at the PPS autococker...
First thing I noticed is that it has the same ball detent and body stock on System-X autocockers, which leaves me to believe they took a $100 gun to get the body and detent... After further investigation, it's a WGP body, so you know it'll be solid...
Secondly, you're paying for a drop you don't need; of course that's just opinion - I can't stand drops, some people love them...
Thirdly, I hate those swoop triggers on mech cockers, they feel soo aquward; once again, opinion, and I'm sure many love them to death...
Fourthly, I'm sure that is a BEAST of a cocker and is timed to perfection BUT it is rather pricey IMO, even if it is new...
Lastly, PM'd you...
Oh yea, Blazer all the way!
-------- EDIT --------
I talked to Mr. Palmer himself (on your behalf) and got these lovely words of advice out of him:
Q: How would you compare one of your palmerized cockers to a stock centerfeed blazer?
A: It all depends on how it's setup. I would prefer a Blazer over a cocker anyday. Although... it is probably one of the best shooting cocker you will ever feel; super smooth trigger with a snappy feel.

Cool, thanks.
I'm leaning towards the cocker, really. Do you know if the body is threaded so I can change the feedneck?

You can't go wrong with a Blazer. It's hard to find a better built marker.

You can't go wrong with a Blazer. It's hard to find a better built marker. I agree with you. They are well built guns. My opinion probably doesn't hold as much weight as others since I've never fired any other autococker except a Blazer but I'll give it anyway. I love my Blazer because of it's size, weight, accuracy, reliability, and rate of fire. If you haven't seen my pictures comparing the Blazer to my old A-5 and PT Jr, then you should. The Blazer body is smaller that the PT. With a 10.5" barrel, the Blazer is a good 2-3 inches shorter than my A-5 with the stock barrel. It's also very light. With bottom line, gun, and barrel I weighed it at 2 lbs 2 oz. As far as reliability, all the airways are internal. The one thing I can't stand about autocockers is the hoses sticking all over the place. It's just ugly. Not to mention I'd be afraid of snagging one on brush in the woods. With your anality (is that a word?) about Lapco barrels and feed necks, Palmers now offers Lapco clamping feed necks installed on center feed Blazers. Also, they will turn down any barrel to fit in the Blazer's slip fit barrel attachment.
