I’ve been using a basic pair of Mechanix glove. They’ve worked well but I need something with some padding. I’ve taken one to many shots on the backside of the fingers and I’m looking to protect them. I’d prefer padding vs. armor. I just don’t like those plastic backed gloves. Here are two that I’m looking at: Empire Handz glovesProto 06 glovesI tried on the Empire Contact 06 and the Emprire Grind 06 gloves. Both gloves are very nice but offered very little padding. So does anyone have any recomendations?

I wear proto gloves and they are really quite comfortable, but they are starting to tear, but I have had them for a year so I think they have reached their design life with the way I play lol.

I usualy do not wear gloves, I find it much more comfortable without. But, when I do Dye C5 gloves are great.

I've played 1 game without gloves. That was my first one. After that, I never step onto the field without them. I've owned a few different kinds of gloves but the ones I use now are nomex flight gloves. Very comfy and the long cuff tucks in nicely. I also have an old pair of JT gloves.

I bought a set of half finger/mit gloves I picked up from Wal-Mart for liek $5. They are Real Tree camoed and are really comfortable.. Just your basic hand protection none the less.
I like those Evil gloves though, would be cool if they had them in OD tho....BTW do they?

While it probably doesn't help you that much since you're looking to upgrade to gloves designed for paintball, I use bike gloves made by Performance Bicycling. They have plenty of padding front and back, and the back is all terry cloth for wiping up sweat. I've had em for probably about five and a half years now and they're still going strong...
