The FIRST EVER Black River BIG Game!
On May 27, 2006 the Americans are going back to "Italy".
The Setting: In the early morning hours of 22 January 1944, troops from the Fifth Army swarmed ashore on a fifteen mile stretch of Italian beach. The landings were carried out so flawlessly that the light German resistance was overtaken by noon on the first day and the Allied forces had moved three to four miles inland by nightfall. That's as easy as it got for the Allies as the next four months saw some of the most savage fighting in World War II.
