Ok, this is a little Forum how to, as in how to do all kinds of cool little things with your posts and what not.
Ok lets get started, firstly, let me just say this, i'm going to change some of the picture so that they are a little more discriptive, but until then, what you see up top is what we got. so on to a description of each thing.
Subject: Duh, its the title of the post!
Message Icon: You can set it to any of the preset message icon types, which will appear next to the post, in other words, if you like something, you might set the icon to thumbs Up, which will put a in . I will be changing them aswell, when i have time, they will be similar to what they are now, but a little prettier .
Add Tags: This is where the fun begins By selecting text you have already typed, and hitting one of the buttons, you get a pretty crazy effect on your text.
In other words, if i wanted THIS PART to be bold, i would highlight it with my mouse, and hit the button.
Heres a run down of what everything does.
The B makes things bold.
The I makes things italic.
The U makes things underlined.
The Strike through S Strikes out the letters (duh).
[glow=red,2,300]The Glowing G is one of my favorites, try playing around with the settings to see what effects you get![/glow]
[shadow=red,left,300]The D with the shadow makes a shadow, again, play around with the settings and see what you get.[/shadow]
Note, for some reason the glow and the shadow don't seem to be working. I'll look into that.
This button puts a big line in the middle of the page.
The grow text button.
The Font change button.
The Colors drop menu.
Note, if you don't see the color you want, you can always change the XXX in the following code (which will say a color) to a hexedecimal color code, and make you'r own.
Next line.
The button is the block quote button. Which means, instead of quoting someone, the quote will appear as plain text.
The next one is the url button, to use this, press it, and you will see [urI] in your text box. To make a link, simply place the link inside the 2 coding brakets, like this [urI]YOUR LINK GOES HERE! If you want the link to say something, like this - The Greatest Place on Earth! then use this code.
"the text for the link goes here [/url" with the closing braket- ]. I can't close it however, or you won't be able to see it
Next up is the which i'm not going to explain right now, as i'm not sure we are allowing its use.
Next is the image button. To place an image in your post, first you must host it somewhere, once you have the url of the image, paste it into the text box, highlight it, and press the image button. It will put the [/img] coding around it, making it visible to other posters, and not just a link to the image.
The next button is the e-mail button. If you put in an e-mail address, and put the tags around it, like this Bob@bob.bob it will automaticly allow people to e-mail your address.
next up are teh 3 table buttons. Which i'm not going to get into atm, but when used properly, you get this effect.
. You can make a whole pretty table if you want. I'm not going to get into it.
Next up are the Sup and Sub buttons, which i can't remember what they stand for, but you can see what they do.
Next is the teletype (? something like that.) wrighter command, i dono exactly what its for, but there it is.

Next up are the Sup and Sub buttons, which i can't remember what they stand for, but you can see what they do.
Next is the teletype (? something like that.) wrighter command, i dono exactly what its for, but there it is.
The code command, which opens a box similar to a quote box, except whatever you type in it appears exactly as you type it./code]
Then the quote button, you all have used that before I'm sure. This way though, you can have a quote box, without acctualy quoting someone.
[li]And finaly
[1]The list

Each [/li][li] represents a bullet, replacing the *changes what the bullet is.
Next is my personal favorite, the
Add Smilies Prompt, simply click on a :) smilie, and it appears where ever your cursor is pointing.
Message: the main Body of the post, where everything you want to say or do is input!
Anyway, the rest is self explanitory, I hope i helped you all along a little bit.
