Good to hear things are going better on the home-front Van, I know it's a tough thing to deal with things like this. Take it as easy as you can and let us know how things are going.

Update 12-3-05
Dad's stable.
The Neurosurgeon talked to my mom today. He said my dad was where he expected him to be 4 days out of surgery. Blood is pooling on his brain again. The doc ordered more CT scans and will make the determination for more surgery.
Around 8p they moved Dad out of ICU into the neuro/ortho ward. He's finally got a TV and remote! Still have the issues with more bleeding but is stable enough to leave ICU.
Time for sleep. Have to cut down/ cut up a 30 yr old willow tree tomorrow at my folks house and repair the pool pump...
Will post more when I get a chance.

12-4-05
Amazing what 24 hours will do.
Since my father's move to the neuro floor he has taken a turn for the worst.
Mom said today he can barely stand and his motor skills are bottoming out. The surgeon told us blood was still on the brain, but I am thinking the area that was bleeding must have started again. Or in the past 24 hrs he had a stroke. His next scheduled CT is Tuesday. At the hospital last night he seemed to not recognize me or two of my sons. The blood onhis brain must be the cause.

Can you complain your way into a CT today? it may be worth the effort.

Spinal fluid is leaking into the brain cavity along with more blood. Another brain surgery is scheduled for 0900 today. The neurosurgeon told us they will have to make a larger incision, go deeper into the skull, possibly into the brain, and insert a larger drain tube than before.

~FinSec's dad made it thru 2nd surgery ok. Has two drain tubes and is draining well. Will be in ICU for the next few days.
No complications etc... all is doing as well as can be expected.
~Fin sounds tired.

Sorry for the lack up updates, but the docs released him from the hospital today!!!!!!!!!!
Drain tubes were removed over the weekend and his progress was terrific.
An Occupational Therapist will visit him at home to work on his fine motor skills. He goes back to his internist next week and the neurosurgeon in two weeks.
Thank you all for your prayers, kind words, phone calls, emails and AIM chats. It was a very difficult time for us and you guys helped me and Dev D through it!
