I've always been a fan of green on black and I like the paint splats, so Kreeper's Old School gets my vote. I like the Electricity Throwback too, since it's easy to read the text quickly.
When doing white, red, or blue on a black background it is generally less eye straining to do slightly darker shades; light gray (#d0d0d0 or higher #), blue something (#000070), and blood red (#cc0000 or higher #). The amount of shade kind of depends on how small the text is, bigger text can be brighter with less eye-strain.
Some people can handle brighter text better than others, I'm fine with most but for some reason red on black takes a few minutes for me to adjust to - it could just be my monitor brightness/contrast settings getting to me though.

theres other layouts? !?!?1 Haha, yes. Go into your profile and you should be able to pick different skins. There are a couple camo ones, and I tried my best to get the a5og blue and grey back, idk how well that worked though! ;D
