I heard there was a recall for the 360, did anyone else hear that? I check over to there website, and it didnt say anything about it as far as I know, but my 360 has been very laggy sometimes, and we got the Premuim but after I tried playing 4-5 old xbox games, halo is the only one that would play. Does anyone else have this problem?

I havent had any problems with any of the next-gen games. now with the old xbox games most are laggy online except halo 2 for me. so i just stick to playing the new ones like PDZ and CoD:2.If you feel this is a big problem i have the number for xbox tech support handy and it is (800)-469-9269. hopoe you get your problems fixed. btw, there is a recall for the xbox's that crashed or something like that ask about it on the phone.

There isn't anything official. They will fix overheating and stuff, some people with core systems have gotten free hard drives. (Take yours off before you send it in) With the games they need to write an emulator for each one. they have instructions of how to update it somewhere.

If you have xbox live then you get the emulator codes when ever they come out. it auto updates it. if you put in a game and it says cant play it then look at what version you have itll say like 1.3 on the screen some where. Heres the list for the regular games you can play on the 360 www.xbox.com/en-US/games/backwardcompatibilitygameslist.htm.

True, hasnt hapened to me, but if you go on microsofts website, and go to the 360 section, they have alot of faq and troubleshooting, and I rememeber seeing that one.

The 360 has had some issues with freezing, overheating, lagging, etc... This is kinda normal for a console launch... There are always bugs in the system, which is why I tend to wait a few months before joining in a new console generation. Unless it's a nintendo product...
Microsoft has replaced all the 360s that are reported to them as freezing up, and have repaired most other systems that overheat and etc.
On the older games, the 360 is using a different hardware set than the X-Box did. Because of that, in order to play the older games, a patch has to be downloaded and installed on the HD. Once you do that, the games should work fine. The 360 isn't exactly as backward compatable as they claim it to be...

Keep it in an open area when you are playing it. It is so powerful that it creates a lto fo heat and that causes graphics lag an damage to the console. Also turn off things such as AIM, yahoo, or anything else that uses the internet when you play. That should solve or help some of the problems that you are having. The "reacll" was because people were complining about overheating. There hasnt been any official reacll to my knowledge of it. I have friends that have had no problems when they play and love it. Just dont cram it into a area that cant vent well becacuse it will overheat.
