Actually, Saddam had over 12 years to hide his weapons, and we can't exactly be expected to find them in less than three years time...
Some of the quantities of weapons grade chemicals we're talking about would EASILY fit into AN area the size of softball diamond in the desert... Top it off with it being buried or otherwise hidden and you're talking about a massive undertaking to try and find them unless someone tells us where they are.

Why is everyone acting as if this is new news? This is REALLY old news. Like THREE Years. This story has been out. The news is that a former Iraqi General has admitted what people have known for three years. This guy is not the first and he will not be the last.
Had the Turks not screwed us and prevented the 4th Armor from coming down through Turkey and cutting off the north-eastern routes to Syria, we MIGHT have stopped it. Although, from the latest story, it seems everyhing was transported via commercial carriers posing as relief.
But again, this is REALLY old news.
Don't mean to sound grumpy, must be my old age of 34 working on me.
Seriously though, this has been out for a while. It never ceases to amaze me that people only catch onto news and react if all the major players of CNN/CBS/ABC/NBC/FOX ALL run the story. This story has been out. How about this one (do a little digging because here is the tidbit), Jordan troops intercepted a car with 4 Al Stupids in it, AND they were carrying small amounts of chemical weapons. Don't remember the timeframe or exact chemical. But they came accross the border from Syria and it was before the bombing that hit Jordan last year.
Again, old news.

I remember that story actually... Fox did report it, but it just kinda fell off the radar screen after the first day or so...
There has been info out there for a while... It's not so much that it's all that new, it's just that someone finally got around to telling the story in a national way...

That's because Fox reported it, and it would give validity to the WMD in Syria claims AND worst of all . . . make Bush look good! And we all know that ANYTHING that might even remotely make Bush look good will NOT be reported.

Well, according to FNC, the "Saddam tapes" discovered after the invasion tell quite a story. According to the tapes, which many in congress want made public, some of our new best friends played a big role in removing the WMD from Iraq before and just after the war and the #1 helper... Russia. I have stated several times before that Russian SF had helped move the stuff to locations in Syria and now my info has been confirmed by Saddam himself. Two sites in Syria and one in the Bakka valley of Lebennon are now home to Iraqi WMD materials. The Russians are also implicated in the removal of material via ships leaving the Port of Um Qusar at the start of the invasion and then dumped the material in the Indian ocean. I can't wait for these tapes or transcripts of these tapes to become public so all those people who said I was full of crap can start eating it. I LUV being right... some of the tapes : www.intelligencesummit.org/
