Dear Iraqi Muslims, both Shia and Sunni,
One of the holiest site in Islam is destroyed by a suicide bomber... a MUSILM... and there is not nearly the outrage in the muslim world as was created by a cartoon. Hundreds dead, millions in property damage done over a drawing of Muhammad but nothing when the burial site of descendants of Muhammad himself is destroyed.
What the hell is wrong with these people that they act this way? And Iran! The leader of that country(a terrorist himself) says we are the ones that did it! Americans and Jews dressed as Arabs and blew ourselves up... I thought he was an idiot before but now...
The Shia' are directing rage at Sunnis but, what do the Sunni have to gain in a civil war? NOTHING! IT"S THE JIHADISTS THAT DID THIS....get your collective heads out of your asses! Turning on eachother is exactly what guys like Bin Laden and Zarkawi want.. turn these guys in, don't play into their hand!

See this confuses me too. I guess we as Americans cant concieve the reasoning of these peoples actions. I have always prided myself for being able to see all side of any given situation, especially when I am on one of those sides. But this one baffles me.
Someone draws a cartoon and your religous masses protest, riot, kill, and destroy. You turn on the world that is trying to help you. The world that wants you to be free and have the rights that God intended for you to have.
Then there is these recent bombings. Well you have a bunch of people that claim to be religous blowing up a your holy places... You all serve the same god, and have acknowledge his same prophet. Why can you not get along?
Most likely there was no religous motive behind those bombings and killings of clerics, and if there was it was by the same side to inrage their own people.
I dont recall the PIRA ever blowing up a church. I could be wrong on that, but I sure dont remember them doing that.
I am almost to the point that I think these people are not capable of freedom. That they are not capable of peace. That they are not capable of being civilized. They wonder why many countrys consider them barbarians? When they act the way they have. They let a hand full of people lead them not toward their religion they think they are serving, but toward destruction.

I think that we as Americans often take freedom for granted and assume that people in other countries want it and will "know how to use it". That is a big misconception!
As someone who grew up in a totalitarian country I can tell you that the reality is that a lot of people don't want it in the first place (because they are a part of the oppressing regime) and those who want it often don't quite understand what it means or what to do with it when they get it.
People don't become "free" overnight. It takes generations to change the way a society functions. Especially when you're talking about a culture that still functions as a tribal system (that's middle ages for you) and where a donkey is a primary mode of transportation.
Another problem is that we stopped promoting our values as much as we used to during the cold war. We're loosing the information war. I can tell you again first hand that a big reason why the west won the cold war was things like Voice of America, and Radio Free Europe / Radio Liberty. We (on the other side of the iron curtain) were grasping at those bits of freedom that were coming through the jamming and were forming our view of what America and democracy is all about based on that - not based on the BS propaganda that our government was feeding us. We need to start doing this again, only directed at the middle east.
OK. Enough ranting. I just wanted to get these points across because I feel they get missed.
I also don't even pretend to begin to understand what goes on in these peoples' heads and why they do the things they do. It's a totally different world.

Subject: Arab Suicides ExplainedEveryone in the West wonders why Muslim terrorists are soquick to commit suicide. Let's see now: No beer, no bars, no radio, no television, no Playboy or Penthouse, no Hooters. No rugby, no football, no basketball, no baseball, no golf, no dancing, no music. No bikinis on the beach, no nude beaches, no summer mini skirts and braless beauties. No BBQ pork, no ham, no bacon, no hot-dogs, no burgers, no lobster, no shellfish or even frozen seafood sticks. No Christmas.Rags for clothes and dish towels for hats. Constant wailing from the guy next door because he's sickand there are no doctors. Constant wailing from the guy in the tower. You can't shave. Your wife can't shave. You can't even shave your wife. Sand is everywhere. Sand gets into everything. You wipe your backside with your left hand without toiletpaper and if they catch you stealing they chop off your good hand and you must eat with your crappy hand .You can't shower to wash off the smell of donkey cooked over burning camel dung. The women have to wear baggy dresses and veils at all times. Your bride is picked by someone else. She smells just like your camel, but your camel has a better disposition. Then your leaders tell you that when you die, you get 27virgins and it all gets better! So, do you still wonder??

Dont know. Maybe our people truely dont care. Or maybe we are de-sensatized (sp) to violence. Or maybe some nut jobs killing Americans just seem common to us. Been like that for as long as I can remember. At least during the cold war we had a defined enemy. They wore red stars on thier funny looking hats. Or maybe we are just brought up differently, and dont go around starting riots and killing people, because we saw a long time ago what that was like. Selma is a good example.
And most Americans dont have a clue that the Saudi of Yemani even has an embassy. Not to mention most of us couldnt point to it on a map with out googles help.
Are the people in the middle east more passionate than we are?

My OUTRAGE comes from hearing just about every day on the news, about some 20 yr old soldier being killed by a road side bomb. I mean come on, somebody in that nieghborhood knows what happened, who put them cowardly bombs in. I'm glad that thier finally starting to kill each other with those bombs. And another thing.I feel if any part of the population protest's our involvement in a emergency situation ie: landslide in Indonesia, we should pack up and leave. Let them deal with it. It's just seems like it sets up hostile situation that could get more of our young soldiers killed by cowards who hate us behind our backs and suck up when were watching. Just my rant

Well, yes - I think it's been like that for thousands of years now. I think you'd be a bit more "passionate" too if you lived in poverty, didn't have a job, and didn't have any prospects for achieving anything in your life (besides becoming a "martyr" by blowing yourself up for some cause you don't really understand). People who have something to loose typically don't become suicide bombers.
