Good post. I remember when he started working on the RT project. Man, he put a boat-load of work into that.

I have to say... It took a while. That video shoes Dev.D shooting mine before we had her fully tuned @ 20ish Right now, his is shooting 3-4 bps fast than mine is in that video, no joke. The Chrono ref's didn't even believe it was an A5. If anyone has any questions... Just post up here or at UMS forums.

I'd love to, but no Digital Camcorder...
Dev. D is your best bet for it...
Oh.. And stay tuned, I just got Armageddon Air with an adjustability of 150-1100psi. I am thinking of backing off the drive spring pressure and running her at 900-950 ish for supreme RT power...

Here are a few more mods that will increase the speed Glue a washer to the end of the plunger (the side that is in the piston) same amount of air in less space=more pressure Put a straw on the pin that the sear rests in (increases sear wear, but extremly fast rt) Qev on the cyclone RVA with red maddmann spring FVA in a lot to lower the FPS PS what is the springer PB's modded LPK?

im not sure why i am asking but how do you know its shooting 25 bps without there being balls in it? me and Mr.Powers did a dry firing a while back and my god it was fast but dry firing cause a major usage of air vulcanized or not....hmmmm i just thought of something... i'll have to get back to y'all

i made an audio file and had deluxestoogie get the graph thing of it. Heres a link to the audio file. www.pbownersgroup.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=689&threadid=3903&enterthread=yIt is an RT, i have some pics i am just lazy and havnt posted them anywhere. O and sound analysis is more accuarate than a crono. The crono will add 2-5 bps usually. I need to get my cyclone up to speed, any mods? i want to order some extra parts before i do anything

Btw, travis there are some parts in this modification that can make it faster. a washer on the end of the plunger isn't what I had in mind, hell, if you want to tighten the spring, then add another next to where the tombstone goes in. This does not increase the flow of air though, but rather decreases it. The tighter the spring, the faster the valve closes.
And if you look in my mod, it will also show you a way to get your cyclone to keep up. It worked on mine and Dev.D's. should net you a good 21+ with balls.
The sear-straw mod is best done with a capri-sun straw. A straw with too thick a diameter will have fully-auto burst issues.
I don't use a QEV, on a cyclone over 2 years old without so much as o-ring replacement, and I have pushed it to the 20+ mark... by adjusting the cyclone return spring.
(QEV's aren't cheap. Add if you must...)
You are absolutely right about using an RVA, and screwing in the FVA as much as possible, the idea is to generate as much blowback as possible
The Spring Paintball Modded LPK is wher one already has a female palmer stab. and is running the air directly into the collar of the volumizer instead of through the DOP VA adapter. DJthunders Store carries it like this, and it was originally pioneered by Trigga Nometry on the Old A5OG.

Well i have a regular LPK on the way in 2 weeks or so, and an expansion chamber. I will see what i can get. Ill go get some paint and co2, then run some tests and post them somewhere.
I got my QEV for $5 from clippard. They also sent me a bunch of 1/8" hosing, barbs and banjos. it came to like 8 bucks after shipping. I didnt order them directly from clippard. i ordered them from my closest clipard distrubitor which is something like rosell (sp?). Order a catalog from clippard they are free and will tell you who your closest distrubutor is if you want a qev.
