I installed the Tippmann dual trigger for the A5, and now its not catching the sear. The egrip worked fine up till the exact moment I instaleld the dual trigger. It'll fire fine if you just barely tap the trigger, but if you try and shoot rapidly it goes super full auto and cyclone cycles, but can't keep up, it chops like mad.
Heres what I've tried. I replaced the spring with a blue spring from my spare response trigger, it did not work. Changed batteries it did not work. I have two A5's so I put the grip on my brand new A5 and it didn't work, so I'm positive its the grip, and not the sear/hammer/rear bolt thing. It doesn't look warn at first glance, but I haven't compared it to any other.

Did you remove the slide, pin, and spring from the double trigger before installing it into your egrip? Sounds like the slide is contacting your sear and making your marker cycle. With slide Without

No was I supposed to? I got to comparing it with the other two trigger assemblys I have and the sear that was on the Egrip frame is completly different from the other two. SO I just swapped out pieces and it works fine.
Two of the sears are drilled out about twice as wide as they need to be to allow for more movement I guess? The one on the egrip wasn't Just a single hole width.
Was it supposed to be like that or what? It worked fine till I put the dual trigger and guard on.

The slide could cause you problems. You don't need it anyway as the egrip armature pin is what trips the sear. If you watch a stock trigger the slide pushes the sear forward along that oval hole until it releases the hammer against the valve. I'll bet the double trigger slide is just sticking out further.

That double hole is to allow it to slide in order to disengage from the trigger in the event the trigger is held down. If the sear is unable to re-catch the rear bolt the problem you described is what results. On the e-grip there is a pin that is supposed to depress and release the sear so the sliding action is not necessary. It is not possible, under proper function, for the pin to hold the sear down.
If you have the metal plate on the back of the trigger then that metal plate is still tripping the sear, not the e-grip. You can prove this by turning off the e-grip and the gun will still operate. Remove the metal plate and the gun should work properly.

Ugh, I'm having the same issue with mine. Removed the slide and spring, but still mis-behaving badly. I pop in the single trigger that came with e-grip, it's all love again.
With the double trigger it's acting like it's not moving far enough forward when I release the trigger maybe? I can tap sideways on the trigger and it fires and only sometimes fires when I pull back (not good).
I haven't removed the "pins" from the double trigger yet, will try that and see if it makes a difference....

Well I went through and backed out the screws to loosen then up a smidge and that seemed to do the trick. No more firing when I tap sideways on the trigger, no more firing with safety on. I did notice while screwing a new adapter into the ASA (with ASA on grip) that it was "firing" when I torked on the adapter.
Grip screwed together too tight seems to have been my problem...
