I am using a WGP ERGO reg with a DOP vertical adapter. When I shot it for the first time the velocity was super hot (didn't chrono it), I had to back the reg's adjusting bolt almost all the way out, and my FVA almost all the in. Still seems like it may be shooting hot, but I haven't chronoed it yet.
Any ideas on what to do if its still shooing hot, or better more efeicient ways of running the setup.
Setup is: A5, R/T, High output HPA, WGP ERGO reg.

You could get an RVA, but chrono it too make sure you are truly shooting hot. Also the reg might not be broken in yet so you could be getting velocity spikes.

I would not trust that you think it is shooting hot until you actually get to chrono it. You might be surprised.
With the new reg, do you know what pressure you have it set to?

No I don't have a guage on the reg. But the pressure adjusting bolt is out about as far as it can come.
The reg probaly isn't broken in yet, but I don't think I'm getting serious spikes. Atleast not serious enough to change the point of impact of the paintball on a target from a "benchrest".

The reg could be blown and it could be letting all 800 psi from your tank directly into the marker...
I hate ergo regs - They are very consistant... at breaking...

When I installed my Palmers reg for the first time I had velocity spikes of anywhere between 5 and 40! PPS says that the reg needs about 2-3000 shots to break in. So I went thru 4 pods of leftover paint at the end of the night just trying to break in. The velocity is still wild at +/-15 sometimes so its getting there.

The Palmer Stabilizer doesn't care if there is paint in the marker or not. You can break it in by dry firing. That way you waste only gas.
