My barrel adapter is loose. Loose enough to twist itself when I shoot and fall off. Story time: Last game we played I got real lucky. Me and my cousin are only left on my team, and a friend of mine is only left on the other team. He's on top of a hill, shooting down on us, while we're at the bottom. My cousins puts 30+ balls past his tree as I rush up the hill to get a better position. As I'm running up the hill, I decide to keep on going and bunker him, I get to his tree, finding him concealed behind it to avoid being hit by my cousins fire. I run around the tree, pull the trigger 3 times, 3 balls come out, and all miss from 4 feet away because my barrel fell out running up the hill and I had no idea. So I run up a hill, get into arms reach of the opponent, miss all my shots, and haul ass back down the hill to cover, lol. So, I tried putting some electrical tape around the barrel, but it wouldn't fit in the gun with the tape around it. So I took some tape off, still wouldn't fit. I put one strip of tape around the barrel adapter, still wont fit. Its loose enough to untwist itself and all out, but tight enough so one strip of tape cant fit around it. Any ideas on what I can do to fix this?

Thats a toughy. You could try putting a very small amount of tape rather then a whole strip, just enough to keep it stationary

Tippmann has a new adapter with a o-ring on it. They sent me one of free. In fact they sent two one for my flatline and the standard one.

You can try putting a wrap of electrical tape around the adapter and then putting it in with the clamshells open. Then close the clamshell and it should be good to go. Remember in order to put in or take out the barrel adapter your supposed to loosen at least the front three screws (including the one holding the cyclone on). Failing to do this creates the kind of wear that normally leads to the problem your describing.

Sharp, Once you pull the flatline shroud off, there are a couple of setscrews (there may only be one, it's been awhile since I took it apart) in the adapter that allow for it's removal. Be sure to mark your alignment first for ease of re-assembly.

Just remember that some flatlines are super tight fitting, so if the adapter doesnt come right off you might have to work it out a little at a time. Whatever you do, dont use a flathead screwdriver to wedge it out either, you'll kill the shiny flatline paintjob.
