APE Pro-E board firing issues. I posted on APE forum but haven't got it fixed yet. Heres what Ive posted.
"It doesn't fire on every trigger pull no mater which mode its set on. I've changed batteries and still same problem. The marker will fire once and recock and then not fire next trigger pull, then next pull it might fire and then it might not.
Tried all modes and still same problem. Set on full auto and when I get it to fire it won't fire steady it will stop and then start again while still holding down the trigger. While on full auto (Steady green light 3rd mode) it will sometimes continue to fire when I release the trigger.
Have the Pro-E trigger on it also. Looks like it adjusted correctly because you can view the switch from the front and I can see it left up the switch arm when I pull slightly on the trigger and it looks to be all the way down when I release the trigger.
Had a simular problem before but though it was the JCS double trigger not being adjusted correctly ( I dont know if you can adjust them correctly) so I got the Pro-E Trigger.
I dont use the marker allot. I've probably only shot about case and a half with this Pro-E board mod and half case with trigger. "
APE told me to try it without air and this is what I had happen.
".......swtched trigger on, switch to full auto mode, pulled trigger, (sound heard) light clicking noise for a few seconds then a hard clicking noise. Held trigger down for a good 5 minutes and it never stopped clicking or change to light clicking. Steady hard loud clicking. Released trigger and it stopped, pulled trigger and it clicked loud and continuous. Changed modes and worked the trigger according to each mode and it seamed to work correctly. Reading the setting adjustments I've only change full auto ROF. But I read what each setting can do and the last 2 had to do with debounce and
? Is there anybody experiencing firing problems on full auto?
I'm going to gas the marker up tonight and see how she does really firing because that was when I had the problem anyway when the marker was recoiling and stuff. "
Then they said to take the battery out and listen for the switch to click
"With battery out you can hear the switch click. Whats weird is I dont always here the solinoid click when it doesn't shoot, just ever so often. Most of the time its like pull trigger one shot let trigger up nothing pull trigger again maybe it shoots do that again same thing then like 2-3 times it will shoot and then resume not shooting.
I was trying to play the last game of the day so I switched it to full auto thinking when it does shoot at least a few more balls would get out there but it got to the point that when I pulled the trigger nothing and then when released the the marker would fire off a few shoots like on full auto. Thinking maybe the trigger switch gone bad anybody had that? HELP! "
Then they said it could be a sear or push rod issue but I tried it again with air and this is what happend
"I gassed it up a tried it. Whole different story. Again full auto mode. I did adjust the full auto debounce from 10 to 15 to see if it made a difference. It was like it was in semi mode, a shot every second or so but every once in a while I could move the trigger just right and get a full auto burst. But mostly if I just pulled and held the trigger it would fire real slow. It was intermitent firing and slow firing. If I held the marker level and upright it would do this, if I tilted or moved the marker while firing it would stop firing. I could here the solinoid clicking but the marker would fire, tried cocking it aging but it was already cocked just not firing.
Without air hooked up it seams as though the solinoid clicked no matter what possition I held the marker but with air hooked up it woudlnt' act right.
Now something else that I've noticed is on the Pro-E double trigger. The pin that goes through the sear keeps moving out and getting up against the inside of the marker. So much so that trying to take the grip off I have to work it side to side and pull really hard. It kinda wedges against the inside of the maker body. After I get it out the pin is sticking out just enough that I cant just slide the grip back onto the marker. I have to take a small punch and hammer and tap the pin back into the trigger frame until its flush then the grip will slide right in. It shouldn't be doing that either. How about I just send the whole marker to you and you fix it! I've adjusted the trigger probably 20 times in both dirrections it doesn't make a difference how the marker acts untill I get it where it doesn't close the switch when released. If I get it to tight you run out of trigger pull before the switch will release. "
