I have tried several different cold weather paints and i have been, 4-5 out of 10 shot, breaking balls . I am going to switch to my JJ Ceramic until it warms up.. I think the paint is already a bit brittle and then it slams into the rubber piece and breaks..Anyone else having thisproblem?

I haven't tried mine out in cold weather yet, but that makes sense. The flatline isn't fond of cold weather due to brittle paint issues, and it is a lot more gentle then the Apex is. I'm going to a scenario this weekend and have the flatline on my A5 and the Apex on my Blazer, I will try them out and see how they compare.

i would have to agree. i went to a scenario over the weekend and was breaking paint left and right. but the guy that parked next to me also broke lots of paint with his JJ ceramic barrel. but i think the field paint just sucked for everybody

Mine seems to work pretty well in any condition...Might just be the fact that the paint is brittle from the cold. I would assume paint would be the issue and not the Apex.

The barrel the Shourd is on is aluminum I belive. Thats probably one of your problems. Compressed aluminum plus paintballs in the winter sucks.
