OK. So my current 98C setup looks like this: 14" J&J Ceramic Cyclone Feed System RocketCock II JCS Combat Stock w/RVA LAPCO offset mount ADCO SureShot RD ProTeam Hyperstar front bolt I have both HPA (Centerflag 68/4500) and CO2 tanks. Here's my dilema: should I dump more money into this marker (RT/E-grip, Palmer Reg, etc.) or should I save up and get something else (e.g. Tac-One or E-Mag, or another higher end marker)? I'm fairly happy with the set up right now except for the low ROF and relatively heavy weight. I really can't see putting an E-grip into this thing just for the fact that it's almost as expensive as the marker was by itself. My consern with the RT is that it's not allowed everywhere. If I get a different marker, I'll likely keep this one as a spare. Post up an let me know what you think - I'd appreciate some input. (I posted this over on "That forum which shall remain nameless", but the M98 section is kinda dead over there... )

Sounds like you have quite a nice '98 there!
Personaly, I would look elsewhere if you want firepower and light weight - Have you considered an Ion?
The Ion's are seeing more and more upgrades these days, are extremely small, and can dish out some serious paint - All at a low price.

Funny that you mention an ION... I'm tempted by that Black Cell thing SpecOps has just released. It looks pretty cool. I still want something with more of a scenario/woodsball feel to it. That's why I was thinking of a Tac-One. Most of NETAG now plays with Proto's and such, but I just don't know if it's my kind of thing... I'm also not entirely sure I want to go with an electro - I still want to be able to play in bad weather if need be (it snowed at the scenario I was in last weekend!).

Sounds like you're at the same crossroads I was at a while ago. "Further upgrade? Or get something entirely new and different for me.?"
In the end I went with the Angel line. I am very happy I did so. Ironically, I tried just about every type of marker except an Angel and I still ordered an Angel without even holding one.
It is kinda tough to give advice on this one. The 98 you have does sound sweet but there are a lot of other guns out there that are lighter and much higher ROF. Of course remember that even though you have the potential for a higher ROF with a different gun, that doesn't mean you need to use it all the time. A higher end gun, while it offers you a higher rof, it also can offer you increased accuracy because lack of kick when you compare them to say a Tippmann.
So many decisions!

Well, I ended up upgrading anyway. Snatched up Spartan75's RT last night - couldn't pass up the deal. I think this'll be the last upgrade to this setup though. Now it's a dilema of what marker to go with next. I probably have a few months to think about that.

Sweet, RT will be a really nice addition to it.

Thanks Trigga! I'm looking forward to trying it out. And like you said in your previous post - a lot of choices ahead of me. I'll take my time with it and settle on something that feels right.

For now, you'll be EASILY unloading some crazy volumes of paint when that RT is installed!

Have you seen this? www.smartparts.com/Products/SP8.aspx I guess at the heart of it is an ion. I was looking at the S.I.T.H. but this just might be the one.... I haven't found a milsim shocker yet... heh

Yeah, I've seen it. I don't think I want to go that mil-sim and have that much shell on it. I'd be more inclined to conider the SpecOps Blackcell Ion or the Sith. I also just came upon a Bob Long "Russian Legion" Intimidator that would be verry fitting, but I don't think I want to spend that much.
