Hey nice find Mnewman, Those are pretty close to what I would like. Not bad price either and they look like they are padded like a mofo.

These are what I use, they are Rappeling gloves made by Hatch Corp who make all kinds of gloves for military, police, and corrections officers. . They are made of heavy leather (with the palms being VERY reinforced, they are rappelling gloves after all) and the backs of the hands and fingers are very padded. They also make a fingerless pair, which if I were doing it all over again I would get instead. Myers

I used to have the same mentality, but after taking a shot straight on into the tip of my finger I will always be wearing gloves.

Well...UPS finally delivered my gloves....
First Impressions...
To be honest, when I first opened the box I wasn't terribly impressed. For some reason, I was expecting them to be a little more "heavy duty". They seem to be normal paintball gloves, just black and OD green.
Materials:
The palm / fingertips are a suede-like soft leather. Seems good, although I get the impression that when wet, it could get slick. Nothing to base this on...just a gut feeling.
The back of the hand is a padded neoprene, while the back of the fingers is a padded mesh like material. Similar to the cheapo JT 1/2 finger gloves I have.
The little rubber pads, are just that, little and rubber.
Fit:
They're very comfortable, although they run a little small. Normally, when I buy baseball batting gloves I get an XL and they're a little big. An XL in these gloves is perfect.
Initial Conclusions:
I'm a little worried about the durability, specifically the seams, but who knows, I could be worrying about nothing. They fit / feel good, are well padded, and look mean.
I'm playing this Sunday, so I'll post a full review in the Product Review section after I field test em.

I got these two days ago: No need to cut the fingertips off. They fit like latex gloves. I tried on the Dye C6, Proto 06, and the latest from Empire. Only the Proto 06 came close to the feel of these Eclipse gloves. I highly recommend them.

I still use my old lineman gloves from when I played highschool football (actually I reuse a bunch of football stuff, I like to wear my old underarmor under my bdu's). They fit perfect, have padding on the knuckles and back of hand, and are padded in the base of the palm.
I don't wear gloves so much for fear of being shot, but rather because I don't feel tenative while diving down on rocks or roots when I'm wearing gloves.
