Alright guys you have all seen my A-536; you also probably noticed that the Apex wasn't on it's original barrel. I created an adapter for my J&J Ceramic that simulates the original stock Apex barrel mounting head.
Did the adapter work? Oh Yes it did!
How much will this cost? Under 10$!!! Probably around 5$!
Want to make one yourself? Here are the Instructions!
(Pictures will come soon)
What you need:
-PVC Thin-Walled Piping
Go to Lowe's or Sears and take your barrel with you, find some PVC Piping that can slide over your barrel with a good amount of friction. If you cant find a pipe that does, find the smallest one that can fit around your barrel.
-Masking Tape
Now before you mount your PVC head you want to prep the end of your barrel with Masking Tape. This will create a buffer between the PVC and your barrel; it will also lock the PVC mount onto your barrel. Wrap enough around your barrel to where you have to use a lot of force to get the PVC around your barrel.
-Hacksaw
Take the PVC and match it up with the bare Apex barrel. You want to make the PVC just as long as the first section of the Apex (The Protruding section with the o-rings around it).
-Table Grinder/Dremel/Sandpaper
Now that you have a piece of PVC around the end of your barrel, you will start to take notice that it looks similar to the end of a Apex. If you try putting your Apex on now, it probably wont fit; The outter-diameter of the PVC is too large. A table grinder or dremel will take care of this no problem. Sandpaper will work, but it will take forever. Sand down the diameter and keep test fitting until you can successfully mount the Apex....
THATS IT!!!! YOUR DONE!!!! You should now have a working Apex on your barrel!!! ;D
Here is a picture of mine!
