THIS HOW TO IS FOR THE STOCK BARREL. I DID USE THE SAME MATERIALS FOR MY BROS J&J FOR HIS 98C.
Alright swat inspired me. I saw his shroud and decided to make my own, like his but with a twist.
Parts Need: 1.5" PVC, 2 1"x3/4" SPXS bushings, stock barrel and of course A-5
Take the bushings and look in them there is a ridge. You must hone this ridge a lil bit to get it to fit over the stock barrel. Do this to both bushings with a Knife. i used a serrated steak knife. Dont hone out too much you need a very tight fit.
The bushings are octagon so you much sand/grind/dremel them into a circle on one side.
^^^See the ridge, notice how one side of the busing is ground down it used to be an octagon. you must grind it enough to fit in the PVC.
^^^^If not the shroud will look like this.^^^
Decide what you would like you shroud to look like. How long will it be, do you want to see the tip of the barrel or no? cut the pvc to desired length. Glue you bushings into the PVC. NOTE: if you want the shroud to go all they way up tto the body of the gun you must glue the bushing that is towards the gun into the pvc a couple of inches or it will hit your barrel adaptor and wont be tight to the the gun. the bushing at the end of the barrel can be placed at the end of the PVC. when you glue the bushings in make sure you glue the ugly ground part toward the inside so you cant see the roughness.
^^Glue roughside in^^^
After this is done paint it the color of your choice.
My paint job got messed up i touched it so i will be repainting it.
I made one shroud go the the end of the barrel^^.
And below is one that stops just before the end.
the main diff between swats and mine is the end. his is inverted mine is more flush.
