I like my Pro Team Sniper FX stock, and I've hacked it into a gas-thru and defaced it with a scratched-up marpat paint job to the point I couldn't sell it for another, but it's too short for me, by like 4 inches. I've seen extensions and pads meant to screw into or sleave-over the back of rifle stocks - does anyone know of one to fit the dimensions of the SniperFX? My next stepp will be taking the stock to the shop with me, but I thought I'd see if any of you have already done this first.

You may want to look for a "recoil" pad for like a 30/30 Winchester. I have the same stock you have and the dimensions are pretty close to a 30/30 butt stock. If that doesn't work out you could form your own butt plate from the stock one, you just have to add the material onto it somehow.

I love the extension idea- I could form a block of wood or plastic to fit, use a longer screw to attach it to the aluminum rod that runs through the stock, and then use a wood screw to attch the butt plate to the extension, then re-paint the whole thing.

Yeah it would be really easy to make a longer butt plate on the stock. I think you havwe the general idea down.
