OK well, yes u may call me a noob if u so wish , i know that i need a Palmer's as i have been told so many times over, i also know it gives you a more consistant shot with both c02 and Nitrogen....but the question is Why is this? How Does it work? Why is it So nesacary?...i am just trying to understand this device more before i purchase it(well my grandma purchases it, for Christmas) Sincerely ~:NewmaN:~

Its a regulator. It is also of extremely high quality.
So an extremely high quality regulator will give you good shot to shot consistency.

The PPS Stabilizer works just like any other regulator but I believe it is "two stage" - That basically just allows more room for Co2 to expand as the Stab virtually removes all of the "harmful" co2 while firing your marker (if using co2 rather than hpa).
I've trusted PPS Stabs on all of my markers and only had one problem with teflon (it had gotten inside) causing one to kreep. I sent it in, and it was repaired quickly.
