Hello all, its nice to be in contact with so many A-5 fans. I've been doing some research and have found many adjustable stocks that all look good , but Im afraid of comfort issues as well as practacality.I've just been using my tank as a stock and Im worried that a stock plus my tank will become burdensome. Any advice or recommended stocks would be greatly appreciated.

Have you ever used a remote before? They are nice, but not for everyone. It removes the tank from your gun and puts it on you back (In a vest or pouch/harness). If you buy one of the better remotes you can detach your marker from the remote. I recommend getting a nice air through stock, the remote will attach right to the stock. But before you go buying a bunch of new gear try and play a game with a remote. Some people run their tank on the gun with a stock, I don't see it very often. I have only done it when my remote went down and I didn't have a choice. I don't prefer it but can get by in a pinch.
I'm not a big Spec Ops fan, but my friend has a A5A2 setup with the air through stock and it is very nice. It feels natural to shoot but it is a bit pricey.

Thanks Raindog, but Im not sure if Im understanding you correctly. In order to comfortably play with a stock my best option would be to go with a remote feed? I've heard this is a situation were a drop forward may be of some use, but Im realitivly new with the A-5 and have not done much reasearch regarding the drop forward. Also, I intend to get an expansion chamber and was wondering if this will interfere with any of the mods i have in mind. Thanks again.

Um, I have a Dead on Expansion chamber, its great. And It should'nt mess with any stocks or anything. If you get a drop forward you might have to just get a shorter hose installed. But other then that you should be fine

Skip the X-chamber, they bascially do nothing. Instead get a Palmers Stabilizer. They are a bit pricey but worth the investment. They are omni gas, meaning they work with both CO2 and HPA. They will keep all liquid CO2 out of the marker, give you better air efficency and a nice +/- after you break them in (2000-4000 shots). Back to remotes. Here is a pic of what I am talking about. It's a 98 custom but you get the idea of what a remote does. Next here is a pic of the kit I was talking about with the air through stock.

Yeah I honestly haven't noticed anything great about my x-chamber anyway. I'm jus not ready to shell out 90 bucks for a stabilizer. it is a great grip though lol

Thanks for all the advice, I see it very clearly now. I think I may take your advice about the stabalizer, considering the X chamber sounds pretty useless. That was a great looking stock, I may have to make that investment. Thaniks a lot

I used to run an adjustable car stock on my a-5. I do like the rifle feel of the gun with the stock but I noticed aiming down with a mask on and running a stock was less than ideal. a5og.proboards33.com/index.cgi?board=photogal&action=display&thread=1137119262I ended up getting the Psycho Ballistic z drop forward... www.pbreview.com/products/reviews/3236/With the adjusability of this drop, I can "tuck" my HPA tank closer to the end of the gun and be right behind the rear hammer for better aiming and and snap shooting. Best of all there is no hinderance from wearing a mask with this setup. -greg
