Hey Guys....
Well after watching my A-5 freeze up repeatedly a few weeks ago, I finally bit the bullet and bought a HP tank. (88/4500). I'm looking forward to testing it out.
Here's the problem / question. I obviously want to get a bottle cover for it, but I'm concerned about it fitting in my flurry. I put the bottle in the tank pouch last night, and it fit, but there wasn't much wiggle room.
I was originally looking at the DYE Rhino cover, but it looks kinda bulky. Does anyone have any experience with this cover? Would it fit in the tank pouch of a flurry? Or would another cover be better? Any recommendations?
Thanks in advance, -D

Well I bought a flurry vest recently, and the new versions apparently have humongous tank pouches, so mine fits my 88/4500 with the rhino cover pretty easily. However,it's not a big deal if you put it in the pouch without the cover on, and just use the cover if you ever happen to use the tank outside of the vest.
Another option would be to get tank covers without any bumps in them like the rhino has, such as the redz bottle cover. Or even better option, is to get the hard tank covers. Examples would be the ACI Kalibur Dura-Sleeve, Diablo Armored Air, and Smart Parts Tank Armor.
Hope this helps.

Yeah, the Smart parts tank armor was one of my other choices.
Thanks for the prompt reply...k4u

Yeah, the Dye Rhino was kinda bulky for my 68/4500 to fit easily into my Flurry. So, I just used the cheap Smart Parts cover for protection. The SP cover fit snug but wasn't too tight.

The NXe tank cover isn't bulky either. Its worth checking out. Congrats on switching to HP. I don't know how I ever put up with the whole right side of my A-5 frozen from ripping the RT in the winter.

My Flurry, which was purchased last July, was able to hold my Nitro Duck 88 with a Dye Rhino cover, though the fit was snug.
I would argue against going without a neoprene cover of some kind while carrying the bottle in a vest pouch. One unfortunate fall and your bottle may flunk the next rehydro.

Thanks for all the advice guys...this place rocks. I've just about settled on the ACI Kalibur Dura Sleeve. I want a little more protection than just the neoprene covers. Especially since my next gun will probably run with the tank on the gun (leaning towards a Tac One...but that's a whole new thread)
Thanks again for the help

good choice. the ACI and Smart Parts tank armor are the same thing. They're both made by ACI but smart parts distributes some as their own.
