Ok as long as we are throwing out ideas on alternate weapons here we go . I have a vision of using a old 6 wheel ATV (Aristacat) platform, and throwing a 8 - 12 tube gernade launcher that can be fired one at a time or in different bursts, on top. Completly able to rotate. this would be located to the right of the driver. In the rear back a turret with twin A5s. Does anyone know of any regulations different fields have for tanks. I think the launcher will have a regulator so that the projectile can be fired at different ranges using 1 large dive tank. I would be basing the launcher off the PVC potato cannon I made at college, only not using a flammable accellerant. I know the unit is going to have to be sealed extermely well to prevent air leaks. Does this just sound 2 crazy or do you think it will work ?? The only other problem I think I will have is telling my wife about it... ...PG

I would highly suggest a visit to the forums at WARPIG (www.warpig.com). There is a tank section of their forum. This section has had extensive postings about tank rules, tank construction and launchers. The people their are a good group and have quite a bit of knowledge.

Yes, the tank section of Warpig is the place to be. And Armoredfistpaintball.com They way to go is using a Supah valve from www.spudtech.com/detail.asp?id=39 And there is probally someone on the Pig that has done it, planned it, or at least thought about it if it concerns a paintball tank.

"anti tank paint" armor ok just bare with me on this infact i sugest you try it. when you make your tank dont put on hard armor ( ply wood, sheet metal ectra) make a frame work and streach over it swimsuit cloth. unless they hit the frame work the paint will just bounce off
me and mama_t tried this, with me standing on one end and useing a pvc pipe to keep it straight and taught, she unloaded an entire hopper on it with no broken paint

i found this out by takeing some ...um ... pantyhose and streaching it over a frame that i was going to use as a sheild for a freindly game be between me and my brother hey he agreed to it so he was going to to use his SCA 3/4inch ply wood heater sheild and i made this. it actuly bounced them back with enough force that they broke on trees the ... house.(oops) and him. so then i had to find some thing bigger than a 4 foot by 1 foot sheild so me and mama_t tried swim suit cloth

Kinda like a kevlar blanket used to cover windows. How bout this: use the loose cloth to soft-catch the paint, collect it, then shoot it back at them!

Okay PG tell your wife your storing it for me. Also LMK I am willing to help in the process. It sounds like tippmanns "tank" that has a gattling gun.

PG...your whoreing will never end until you make a tank. If you make one, the GLR could have up to 3 tanks. But if I make my pedal-power tank...look out. 1 Gun blazing a path to glory, 1 ball at a time.

Kozzie the tank is on hold right now due to lack of sufficient funds, or what I call not having a bucket to P#^s in. My wife is well aware of my desire to build this beast I just cant convince her to donate the tax return for the cause, besides I would have to let someone else drive all the time I got to many new toys to plat with. Beaker may have us both beat with the monster transport assault vehicle he is constructing... ...PG

Yeah, my tank is also on hold, until I win the powerball lottery.
I can see it now... Enter dream sequence: A Toyota Tacoma, 4x4 with TRD supercharger and exhaust, equipped with Mat Tracks, built to order. Interchangable cannon's, one marker based and then one for the Nerf's. Maybe even a multi barreled grenade launching system, built out of about 12 Scepter launchers and duck tape. And Egripped A5's all over the massive OD green monster. A few 12 inch sub's with enough power to light up Chicago. Yes a true redneck paintballers dream come true. Come on power ball!!!

You know, Scepter does make a seven-round mortar...
And PG, If you make the launcher, it will have to be chrono'ed, and that wouldn't allow for on-field adjustments.
