Like it says...what do you call it? I always call it a Paintball Marker. I HATE the word gun when refureing to paintball. It gives people the rong image. And everyone knows that paintball is striveing to get a better image of it self. Usually when im talkin to someone and i use the word marker, there like...whats a marker  ?!?! LOL so then i explain it to them, and then they usually call it a Marker. Tippy~ |

It really depends who I'm talking to. If I'm talking to someone who plays regularely I usually call it a gun out of laziness. But when I'm talking to a newcomer, parent, or other adult I call it a marker. I too hate when people think of paintball as a bunch of nuts running around in the woods and shooting eachother with guns, so I do my best to portray it as a fun, legit, and safe sport/hobby.

Depends on who I'm talking to. General public, it's a marker. Teammates, gun but usually I refer to it as a pb marker.[/color]

I'm with the general consensus. I call it a marker around people who may take "gun" as a reference to something violent. Around people that know better, "gun" is one syllable shorter than marker.  |

I'll usually call it a marker when I'm around newbies and their frantic parents. When I'm on the field or around my teammates, it's a gun.

I now always call it a Marker. I used to call it a gun, but you guys have changed my ways, lol.

Im with the general consensus here...I too refer to it as both...but come on here...IMHO my A-5 all MILSIM'ed out looks like a "gun", but i do my very best to call it a marker.
