A new paintball game just came out for the PC, and this one is actually good. I got it three nights ago, and have been playing it a lot.
First, the bad: There's no multiplayer chat at all. Sure this prevents stupid comments, but it also prevents useful ones, like asking someone to switch teams...or any number of useful things. The documentation makes it unclear whether you can join a game in progress, and as there are only a few players out there now (it was released 6 days ago), I haven't had a chance to test this, or to even ASK other people what they think because there's no freakin' chat feature!
Now the good: Gameplay is great! The graphics aren't top notch, but they're pretty good. I haven't seen ANY clipping issues. Sounds are fairly realistic, and seeing a rope of paint flying around your head is always cool. The less accurate guns have the typical wingers you'd expect to see, which is cool. At first I didn't like how you had to click the mouse for each shot, but it's certainly realistic, and I'm starting to appreciate it. Sliding in behind a bunker is pretty cool, and you can crawl around, but you can't fire prone unless you're not moving. There are no bounces, and NO WIPING in this game (THANK YOU!!). The field editor is extremely easy to use, and you can walk the field and test it before going "live."
Conclusion: For $19, you can't go wrong. I can see this being a really good training tool for real life paintball teams. It's a lot of fun, and would be even MORE fun with more multiplayer features.
