Today I went paintballing, I was pretty stoked cuz I just bought my friends nitro tank for 50$. So we go out and have a good time, but then it happened; my friend and I are pinned behind some railroad ties standing on end and Im exchanging some snapshooting(my E-Grip is set at 3 round) at these guys about 40 ft away(see diagram below). Then a dead guy walks right past the other guys bunker after I fired so he gets shot in the leg, so I yell sorry. He responds with a "Im out ***hole", so I yell "I said I was SORRY[/b], you POS."
Before you guys get really pissed at me, the round right before that I was the last man guarding the right flank. So I get hit on my barrel, so I stick my gun up and yell out, and the ref says dead man let him out. As Im walking out, the guy shoots me twice in the back of my neck. And I respond like I normally do: "Im already out". Normally I wouldnt be so pissed but I was the only guy there so he deliberatly bonus-balled me.
But anyways back to the main story, I found the guy in the deadbox and explained myself and said I was sorry. And he just stood there glaring at me. He never said one word back to me.
**Diagram** two other team guys \(this bunker was a lil more angled) guy walked right were the "u" in guy was at.

Sorry for the long post, but I had to get this off my chest.

Its his fault for walking though a line of fire.
If I walk through someones lane while headed to the deadbox any shots I take are typically my fault.

Wow you accidentally bonus balled a guy in the leg one time and called him a POS after he called you an a*hole.
Big whoop?
Don't let it bother you man - Sounds pretty minor to me. If this is your first incident, it may seem fairly “out of place” but tons worse has happened to me.

Yea this is nothing I have laned a couple of people who were out in the past they were crossing my
line of fire as I was going after a guy headed to another bunker and they didn't move and they
caught a good 6-7 shots on accident.

It happens. Don't let it bother you. Last time I played, I got hit when I was out once. I yelled "Hit! I'm out!" stood up with my hands in the air and got hit in the arm by my cousin. I was pretty po'ed but it happens. It's hard to tell in the middle of battle. He said he didn't hear me which I believe since he wasn't exactly close and there was some other firing going on.

I hate it when people get upset about getting bonus-balled when they try and walk out through the middle of a fire-fight... I mean, honestly, how stupid can you be?
I've been in a few situations where I've been FORCED to walk out in the middle of a fire-right and get tagged a few times. The thing is I UNDERSTAND that if I walk out into the middle of a fire-fight, I'm going to get hit and I expect it. Some people seem to thing that "Dead man walking" means everyone stops shooting, and it doesn't.
Don't sweat it.

People get a little too up tight about getting hit when their out. Now I can see getting pissed if they are just laying into you. But in the heat of battle it can be a bit confusing on who is out and some people just get carried away. I get hit normally at least once after I get eliminated. I see it as normal. As long as they arent doing it on purpose, or doing it to kids, I am not gonna get pissed over it. EDIT: Of course, I am normally one of the first to get taken out, so there are always people around me still shooting. So going through a hail of paint is just a fact of life. If I improve my skill at paintballing or at least at hiding, I wouldnt be one of the firat ones out. Then I wouldnt get bonus balled.

During a rather fierce firefight, I got hit. I put my arms up, yelled that I was out, then turned to walk out. What I didn't know is that I was turning right into a teammate's line of fire, and I took two to the hand from about four feet away. WOW THAT HURT!! But the point is that it wasn't the guy's fault for shooting me, nor is it your fault for shooting him. I put myself into the line of fire, and I alone bear that responsibility.
Of course, there are two sides to any argument, so I'd be curious to hear his side.

don't even worry about it, getting shot is half the fun in my mind. of course i try to stick to the object of the game and not get plastered too bad, but you'll be a better player once you don't care about getting holed up a bit. take some chances, have fun and if others don't like the way you play, they're the ones that need to lighten up and that gotta deal with it, not you.

I use things like that as a tactic. I make it a point to NOT be so verbal when I'm hit. I duck back behind cover and put my bag on my barrel. I get up and start walking away. Hopefully I'll catch a few more rounds coming my way, which may give my teamates the cover they need to make a move. Heck, it's 3 or 4 more wasted balls that aren't flying at my buddies who are still in.
If you want out and really don't want to get hit, stick your gun up TANK FIRST. Nothing looks more "out" than a guy holding his gun up in the air by the barrel. Once you're ID'd as out, bend over and start trucking it out of there. Once you're out of the lanes, straighten up and comfortably walk away.

I just take bonus balls as part of the game. I very seldom take offence to it. Its all part of the game UNLESS someone does it on purpose, now thats a different story. Always go to a ref first when you have a complaint with a game or someone in the game.

If I have a shot at someone, I dont shoot one ball at them, I shoot a string of mabey 4 or 5. Whether all four or five hit them, just one or two, or they all miss, its all part of the game. Deliberatly bonus balling people isnt right, and should be watched out for by refs. Dont let stuff like that bum you out to much. Just be the better man in times like that.
