Good quality dark shelled thick bright filled tactical paint today is fairly rare and hard to find. I have been on the search to find the best tactical paint to shoot through the flatline, however my results havent been the best. The four tactical paints I have "seen" on the market are as follows 1 - JT Tactical Paint - Sold at Wal-Mart 2 - Nelson Special Forces - Sold at Firstcallpaintball.com 3 - PMI PCS Combat 68 - Sold at Discountpaintball.com 4 - Black OPS Premimum Paintballs - sold at Tacticalmarkers.com
I have tryed both the JT's and the Nelsons
The JT's were pure junk; only a 2 out of 10 because they were a dark shell, the accuracy was terrible and the fill was thin and not bright at all
The first bag of nelsons were very impressive. .685 Cal which is one of the smallest paintballs I could find (remember that the flatline loves the small cal paintballs) Awsome reusable ammo case, NO breaks, VERY accurate, Copper outer shell but impossible to see comming at you, NO LIE the thickest fill I have ever seen come out of a paintball (looks like finger paint almost). However, the second bag I opened up was a bad batch and many of the balls were dented. Obviously they werent very accurate but I still believe that these are probably the best out of the 4 even though I havent tryed the Black OPS or the PMI PCS Combat .68's.
**** I want to know what your opinions are on these balls If you have tryed any of them with the flatline****

The Nelson Special Forces paint is good, and if memory serves me correctly it comes in "seal" and "ranger" different color shells and paint. The only problem is price and availability, 1800 rounds for 63.00 bones isn't cheap. I did manage to find it at a place called BJ Paintball and RC for around 45.00 at one time. If I can find the link again I will post it. Try to find ProCaps paintballs they come in "Flag" clear shell with old glory on the side, and white fill, "Rasta" red and yellow shell w/bright yellow paint, Or they have 2 paints for woodsballers both camo shells (woodland and desert), and both filled w/ green and tan paint respectively. All 4 of these are tournament grade paintballs and I can pick them up around me at 59.00 a case. Another good paint is "El Tigre" by PMI/RPS, Dicks Sporting Goods carries this for around the same price as the ProCaps stuff. The El Tigres have a black and claer tiger striped shell w/orange fill. The paint is a little thin but otherwise shot fine I have been through 3 cases of it and had no breaks. The flatline can be pickey, but the freshness of the paint seems to be the most important, luckily my suppliers let me open the cases in the store to inspect before I buy. Hope this helps some... ...PG

The Nelson special forces paint is available at firstcallpaintball.com for a great price around $44.00 plus shipping. Thats not a bad deal for a great all-around tactical paint. To be completly honnest I think I would still pay the $60 - some dollars if that would be the lowest price I could buy them for.

Nelson Special Forces is freakin' Toatlly Tubular dudes!! I love that stuff-Nice shell and the fill is like a runny clay (No one will be wiping this off in the field). I was given a case of the JT Tactical and thought it sucked.
