So I had my A-5 disassembled for cleaning and paint prep work, and it was just sitting there for a couple days. I looked at it again this morning and it all of sudden just seemed rather absurd to me. For grins I ran around and gathered up all my A-5 pieces, parts, and accessories and added them to the pile then took this picture: The end result will be somewhat close to this (with a few other mods and bits and paint still on the way - EDIT for clarity, this second picture is indeed my A-5, it just doesn't have all the bits on it that it will when I am done - ie: UMS gripplug, e-grip, offset rail, etc....): So then, after taking the picture and looking at all these parts, I got to thinking about how much I had spent on my A-5 over the last 2.5 years. I made a list, and it's just shy of $1,200 and I'm still not "done".

$1200 only? hehe
I spent about that much in about 6 months trying to get my A-5 up-ed to the max. I sure wish I still had an A-5... I'd get exactly the same setup you have now w/ the addition of a WAS'd E-grip and a handful of cyclone ratchets to spare.
If I were you I'd do without the red dot. Its just for looks. If you want to make it look killer then put a laser sight under the gun.

I actually use the red dot from time to time and sadly none of my local fields allow lasers The other problem with mounting something on the bottom of the SD shroud is that the "seam" is on the top and bottom, so I could mount it just to side of the bottom seam, but not directly on the bottom (well, not easily). Actually probably going to do a push button tac light per SWATORNOT's howto, although I'll probably mount it on the right side of shroud (inline with the cyclone). As far as WAS or APE boards go, I *might* do that if I find that I am consistantly outpacing the stock e-grip, I just got it this week, so we'll see how it goes.
