Other paintball markers use hoppers that load in one of two ways:
1) Using gravity - The ball falls into the chamber as soon as the bolt re-cocks. Chopping occurs when you have a high Rate of Fire (ROF), and the bolt catches the paintball before it's completely fallen into the chamber.
2) Electronic/force-fed - This type of hopper uses an electric motor to force paintballs down the feed neck and into the chamber at a faster rate. Although chopping is reduced, the fact that the hopper and trigger work independently of each other may cause chopping. The hopper might also force more than one paintball into the marker at a time.
The Cyclone feed system on the A-5 works with the excess air from each shot, linking the load rate to the trigger. Every time you pull the trigger, the Cyclone feeds another paintball, eliminating the fear of chopping.
I hope that helped.
