Well like the title says, I wasted away most of my C3 funds today...
Basically I have been very sick lately so today while waiting to get some meds filled, I convinced my mother to let me swing by a local pawn shop on the way to the pharmacy. Around this time, the $320 in my back pocket started screaming and reminding me of an item I had wanted for a while, but never had "permission" to purchase, or had the money for, or had both at the same time.
Anyways, I had both today - So there goes a few bucks down the drain that were completely intended for the C3, but hey, at least I got another rather large pump gun out of it:
Remington 870 Express Magnum (12 GA, duh)...
For the last couple of years, I had wanted a good turkey shoot gun that would also be decent for trap and squirrel. The owner of the pawn/gun shop (a family friend) was able to knock it down to about $160 off retail and throw in a free $40 Black Sheep case. I got her home and took a few shots at a orange quarter shaped sticker attached to a milk jug from about 65’ away and was blowing the target clean off of the jug every shot. Appears that I might do pretty decent at next weekends turkey shoot (seeing that I feel good enough to go)…
Although I don't quite think I'll be making it past the chrono checks at the field with this baby, 1400 FPS may be running just a *tad* hot...
