I want some advice. I currently has 1Gb PC3200 DDR RAM. In my old computer, I have 1Gb PC2100 DDR RAM. I'm thinking of adding it to my new machine. I know you can mix RAM of different speeds, but everything will run at the lower speed. So here's my question:
Is 2Gb PC2100 better than 1Gb PC3200?

Are you mostly gaming or just basic use of the machine?
If you are gaming I dont really know what to tell you, usually 2gb is better no matter what but with heavy gaming the faster the memory can run the better. Either way you have a pretty good memory speed with the low one added. Just really comes down to your primary use of this machine

Try going to Task Manager every once in a while and seeing how much memory it's using. If its over 1gb try putting the other stick in. If it is any slower just take it out.
