This could be a good article, or bed time story.
There is a group of about 30 people playing at this place. Picture a big hill in the middle of no where and looks like a grass mountain. It has a trail going all around up top and a road all around the bottom. Only two roads leading up to the top one at base camp A, and the other at base camp B.The road leading up from base camp A has a trail wiith steps leading up the hill.
I nestled myself into the brush next to the stairs about half way up, facing back down hill towards our base. I was in a key position for people coming down the hill to our base and people coming from the lower areas to our base. I waited as my team sent out the attack force and I setup shop for what I figured would be an uneventful game on our side. Within about ten minutes I could hear people talking up top behind me about what they were going to do. I waited for them and kept silent, they started down the stair path and it was time for a judgement call...do I pop up and take them out or save myself from exposure and hope they don't see me? I felt confident they had no clue I was at this spot as they kept coming down the path (mind you there are three of them and a stragler behind). I sat perched and ready for a quick fighting retreat, they are now within 3 feet and still talking as if I don't even exist. The first two people are past me and now the third, I say "surrender yourselves" they looked around a few times and I had to repeat myself, "Surrender yourselves or I will fire" ( we are no more than two feet apart and I am trying to stay quiet so I wasn't going to shoot them). While this is going on that straggler behind them still hasn't caught up and has no clue they have been elimnated. So I chalked up three kills no shots fired....then as I set myself up for the straggler I lose his position but can hear him rustling around nearby (about 30ft up) I get a glimpse of his location and pop out quick and quietly from my cover put four rounds in his direction....all four hit, one of those was even a hit to the mask. Chalk up one more for our team.
Now I could move from this spot and save myself from being revealed, but I am in a key spot for an ambush and I can provide suppourt for the base. So I stay in my location since I feel concealed from others still, and then the worst happens. We have a group of 3 people coming from the lower left attacking the base, our defenders are holding strong. While looking for an escape from the hail of the defenses paint one of them turns to look towards the road heading up the hill and spots me. I trade a couple shots with none of his shots reaching me, and he soon realizes he is in trouble with my team mates holding a strong defense and me blocking he escape. The opposing team then scrambles from the lower side up the side of the hill where the three of them rendezvous with a trail patrol from the other team ( I am now facing 6 members). The three from below relay the message to the trail patrol there is somebody perched along the stairs... and I heard it. Now the blood flows and adrenaline is rushing like no other. Do I run now or wait it out? I eliminated foru of theirs already so would hurt the team if I attempt another two or three?
I sat ready and waiting as I hear the group spread out at the top looking and cautiously making their way down towards my location which to them is entirely unknown except that I am in the general area. There are three of them making their way down the path getting closer to me and it's now time for the decision. Do I stay and risk being slaughtered with paint, or do I make a quick pop out and fire all I have while making a retreat? I waited for the opportune moment and popped out and unloaded my 25 round tac-cap on the group of six only to pin them down while I tore down the hill nearly losing everything.
I made it to my base safely without a mark on me and the feeling of just getting out of a hairy situation. My legs and hands are shaking like crazy and my team mates are hootin and hollarin "Way to go SWAT!", GREAT JOB!!!". But the game wasn't over yet, now we had 5 of us left on the team defending the base till the last man standing. The other team slowyl crept into their positions as wel lost our men. That game will be remembered no matter who won or lost, but as the day we all played our hardest game ever.
Another story anybody?
