So the assignment was to create a one paragrpah essay of a room that describes a person/personality
I chose a Vietnam Sargent, that lost his leg in the war, and is now paranoid that the enemy will return to kill him
The door had 4 locks, 1 of which is a combination. It is also set on an automatic alarm system. There is a bookcase against the wall to the right, which is filled with self-defense and military books. To the left of that is the desk with a loaded m1911 pistol and an assortment of military grade items such as grenade pins from used grenades, flashlights, and empty ammo clips. Also there is a photo album with pictures of American soldiers from the Vietnamese War, lying on top of one of the pictures are dog tags that were bent in a way only a bullet could. Leaning on the desk are old looking crutches, they are bandaged up and have bloodstains that seem to be ancient. The upper level of the apartment is wheel chair accessible. There is a bed with crinkled sheets that seem to have had a restless night. The pillow on the bed hides a combat knife given to soldiers, which is rusted and yet razor sharp, this knife has seen some action. The windows are boarded up with wooden planks in both directions aside from the bottom corner of the window next to the bed, which is slightly slanted giving a clear view to the surrounding streets. The closet hides an old tattered uniform with bloodstains and holes; there is an exceedingly large cut on the left pant leg that has what seems like a lot of blood around it. There is an M16 that seems to have gone threw much use. Hidden in the corner is a box with, news paper clippings with obituaries of both Vietnamese and American soldiers, also there are dog tag's from the ranks of private to corporal that have an assortment of wounds from bullet holes, rips, tears, and plenty of rust. There are cameras in all 4 corners of the room; they have wires leading towards the back of the closet. When the various cloths are pushed aside a secret room is revealed. This room requires a retinal scanner to get in. Since I do not feel welcome anymore I leave the room.
tell me what you think
