The past few weeks have been a turbulent time for all involved with what was, in our opinions, the best paintball forum on the web. Tempers flared, words exchanged, and friendships damaged.
The beta opening of the "That forum which shall remain nameless" and subsequent testing by members of the A5OG was not pleasant. The feedback received from everyone was sent to those in charge of programming "That forum which shall remain nameless". Unfortunately unseen delays from the code monkey did nothing more than create a greater division amongst friends. The bulk of the identified topics were repaired and functionality and navigation improved. One major thing that needs healing now is the apparent rift created.
Zap, Ricebrnr, Blokie, T2, FLUP, MotherGoose, Katarn and myself are the same guys we were on the A5OG. We are the same guys willing to lend a helping hand. We want everyone to know what happened is in the past, and we can grow from this.
I pass the Peace Pipe to you my friends. I hope you accept.

No need in my book for you to have explain. You have always come across as fair/firm/consistant in all your dealings. There is no reason both can't co-exist and carry on a fabulous tradition. I prefer the smaller community myself but that doesn't mean I'm going to stop visiting "That forum which shall remain nameless". Things did not go as planned for everyone, that is my friend everyday life. Frustrations grew and a few got carried away. Time will mend any feelings of discontent between true friends. The hatchet is burried and may the tobacco flow forever... ...PG

I've always said, since this whole thing began, that there is room for both and that there was a lot that could have been done to make things go smoother in the transition.
But those things are in the past.
As such, we've found ourselves at a cross-roads in A5OG history. The "That forum which shall remain nameless" is going in one direction and the A5OD is going in another. There is NO reason that both can't co-exist. There is no reason for any anamosity between the two forums to continue ONE MINUTE FURTHER.
As such, I'm calling on members of both sides, here and on the "That forum which shall remain nameless", to let the past be the past and move forward in the tradition of the A5OG that most of us knew and loved.
The internet is a very big place with room for half a million forums like this or the "That forum which shall remain nameless". I intend on supporting BOTH forums to the best of my ability. I intend on making BOTH of these forums as good as they can be and I intend on helping bridge the gaps that have grown between the two forums... We're all from a single community and we all know eachother here.
I've lost a LOT in the change, but I support it. I think that the change could ahve been handled better and that in the end, the A5OG should probably have been left as it was and the "That forum which shall remain nameless" opened as a seporate entity. But those things are in the past, and cannot be undone.
So let's all take a deep breath, hold it... Wait for it... And exhale slowly... Yeah... Um...
Oh, and get back to what's important here. Our community, our friends and the FUN that the A5OG once was. We can have that back and we can have both forums. If "That forum which shall remain nameless" members want to come here and hang out, I know that they are 100% welcome and will be greated with the respect and honor that I've recieved here. I know that I'll do the same on the flip side and expect that most of the "That forum which shall remain nameless" guys will do the same there.
No need for the civil war that's been going on.
Now can I get that pipe back?

I just wanted to reenforce what FinSec had already posted, I have nothing against anyone here and I have supported the guys that are moderators on both forums. I wish you guys all the luck and success in the world.

Van, great post. I agree that the members you posted are the same great people, but some of the new mods that you didnt post seem not to be the same people. I'll take a hit from that peace pipe any day, as I have been trying to make peace since the first thread about this in the war room on "That forum which shall remain nameless". But some of the people I have learned to be mature, stand up guys, bash a few of us for being mods here, and then as soon as a few admins post in that thread, they all seem to come around and are fine with it? When the A5OD was first brought up, people are saying that it wasnt right for us to do this, how there not going to join because of it, and now they say there all good, and join over here, and I respect that, but I'm not going to forget what they initially said. So, guys, Its great for the two forum to be good with eachother, because I think this is what we all wanted. Exaltion for you guys!! Hahaha
